Robotics Contest Court Photos

Remember the walls are sitting on top of the 4' x 4' particle board. Note: The particle board used is the type used in counter-tops so it is smooth. The below pictures show my finished court. I used two big metal L-brackets to support the front wall:

I attached the hoop to the top of a narrow piece of wood (painted black) using a metal plate. I screwed down through the metal plate into the wood block and sandwich the hoop firmly. Note: If you over tighten the screws you can wrap the hoop. If necessary, you can use black electrical tape to level the hoop as I did here.

The court is tilted using a piece of 4"x4" or two 2"x4" pieces screwed together. Note: the screws attaching the hoop through the front wall.

The back and side walls are just 2"x4"s that I abut together. Deck screws through the back wall into the side wall make the joint tight. I also used 3 or 4 deck screws up through the plywood court into each 2"x4" wall to hold them in place.
